WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Heading into the season, the team selected
Tess Coorens,
Jade Freeberg,
Heili Carpino and
Lena Vandam as their captains for the 2019 campaign.

- The Broncs will play eight home games at Ben Cohen Field in 2019. The team is 2-2 in front of their home crowd this season and 5-1 in true road games. Â

- On Tuesday, sophomore
Julia Divorra was named an NEC Prime Performer for the second time this year. She has scored in five of Rider's last six game. When Divorra finds the back of the cage this season, the team is 7-0.

- Two Broncs have recorded hat tricks this season.
Julia Divorra had one on September 15 against Colgate at home and
Carly Brosious scored three markers in a victory over Towson on September 27.

- Three Rider players have earned weekly awards from the NEC this season.
Julia Divorra and
Carly Brosious have both been named the NEC Offensive Player of the Week once and goalkeeper
Lena Vandam has once been honored as the NEC Defensive Player of the Week.

- Brosious and Divorra are tied for the team-lead and they also are tied for tops in the NEC with nine goals this season. Brosious leads the conference with 24 points and Divorra is second in the league with 22 points.

- The Broncs have seen a freshman score a goal in back-to-back games. In the NEC opener versus Wagner,
Kiki van Ommeren scored her second career goal and last time out against Monmouth,
Sierra Giuliano potted her first collegiate goal.

- In the cage,
Lena Vandam has played every minute of action this season. She is 7-3 with 51 saves, a .761 save percentage and a 1.55 goals-against average.

- Head Coach
Lori Hussong is in her 20th season at the helm of the program in 2019. She has a career record of 256-131. She is the winningest coach in program history and earlier this season she became the 15th active Division I Field Hockey Head Coach with 250 or more wins.

- Sunday is Rider's annual Play 4 The Cure Game. The Broncs are raising awareness and donations in the fight against breast cancer.
 The team has been especially inspired by the fight waged by our beloved team mentor Cathy Carter Romero, the Rider Director of Publications, who passed away in January of 2015 after a courageous 13-year battle against the disease.
