MALVERN, PA – Freshman Austin Devereux (Brielle, NJ/Manasquan) shot a one-under 70 to finish the tournament one over and tied for ninth as the Rider University men's golf team finished 11th at the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Villanova at White Manor Country Club on Tuesday. Jake Sollon (Venetia, PA/Peters Township) also finished the tournament strong with a 73, with four birdies on the front nine. Eder Moreno (Madrid, Spain/Santa Helena) finished with a 75, while Andrew Forjan (York, PA/York Catholic) shot a 76.

QUOTES & NOTES
"Solid round from us today. Again, we got off to an awful start and really fought. Could've been something special. Austin played great. He was three over through three and fought back to shoot one under. We're getting better as we get more reps. Looking forward to another week of practice before playing at La Salle and then MAAC's." – Rider Head Coach Jason Barry

- Devereux matched his best score of the season (Sept. 21 at the Monmouth Fall Invitational).
- Only Moreno's 67 in the middle round at the Hartford Hawk Invitational is better than Devereux's two 70's. Sollon also shot 70 in the final round at the Hartford Hawk Invitational.
- Devereux led all players with a -4 on the Par 4's for the tournament. Sollon was also solid, finishing sixth at even par.
- Rider shot the third-best score of the tournament with a 4.16 average on the Par 4's.
- Sollon added six birdies for the tournament, while Moreno had five and both Forjan and Thomas Durkin (Suffield, CT/Suffield) had four.
- Rider shot 294 or better for the sixth time this season and the first time of the Spring.
- Rider broke 300 for the eighth time this season.
