Women's Swimming & Diving in Seventh-Place After Two Days at Bruno Invite

The three-day event takes place in the Ocean State

PROVIDENCE, RI – The Rider University women's swimming and diving team continued action at the 2018 Bruno Invite hosted by Brown University on Saturday. The three-day event at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center and features seven teams on the women's side and six on the men's.

After two days, the Broncs are in seventh-place with 104.5 points.

To start the day, the Rider 200 medley relay of Taylor Stalnaker (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury), Kyra Schwerzler (Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Regional), Kylie McMahon (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary's) and Olivia Iswalt (Reading, PA/Berks Catholic) came in 10-place, thanks to posting a time of 1:45.83.

Freshman Anastasia Aleksandrova (North Brunswick, NJ/North Brunswick Township) finished in 23rd overall and seventh in the C Final of the 400 IM.

Classmates Caylie Cardona (Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan) and Schwerzler finished in 12th and 14th overall in the 100 breast. Cardona ended with a time of 1:05.13 and Schwerzler touched at 1:05.48. Also in the event, Maire Wilson (Kennett Square, PA/Saint Mark's) ended up in 23rd thanks to a time of 1:07.84.  

In the 100 back, Stalnaker earned points thanks to finish 14th with a time of 57.28.

NOTES & QUOTES
- The Rider 200 medley relay 'B' quartet of Kayla May, Caylie Cardona, Lauren Kerner and Victoria Evans ended tied for 11th with a time of 1:48.28.
- Kylie McMahon finished in 30th-place in the 100 fly with a time of 57.84.
- Kalya May ended up in 17th in the 100 back with a mark of 57.25.
- Maeve Lersch was 22nd in the 100 back finishing at 58.29.
- Olivia Cann ended up in 24th in the 100 back with a time of 59.29.
- In the 1M diving event, Meg Tomayko came in 10th-place with a score of 204.55.
