GENEVA, OH – The Rider University women's swimming and diving team sits third following the opening day of competition at the 2026 MAAC Championships. The Broncs accumulated 149 points on day one. Marist currently leads the way with 207 points.
To open the championship,
Casey Morgan (Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.),
Liv Turner-Havira (Archbald, PA/Scranton Prep),
Rachel Hutchins (Elkridge, MD/Annapolis Area Christian School), and
Donja Tripp (Bethlehem, PA/Notre Dame) combined to swim 1:45.69 in the 200-medley relay, earning a ninth-place finish.
On the 1-meter,
Campbell Dopler (Bettendorf, IA/Bettendorf) scored 254.65 to earn second place and
Karyn Creelman (Mohnton, PA/Governor Mifflin) finished eighth, scoring 218.15.
Wrapping up the opening day of competition,
Casey McLaughlin (Ramsey, NJ/Ramsey),
Sonya Mishakova (Bali, Indonesia/Australian Independent School Bali),
Lea Opdyke (Ocala, FL/West Port), and Morgan combined to touch the wall in 7:38.74 to claim seventh in the 800-free.
