Men's Swimming and Diving Hosts Marist on Saturday

What You Need To Know
- Rider will have its second of two straight home meets on Saturday, October 28, welcoming in MAAC foe Marist dual meet. The dual meet is the last at Coppola Pool during the 2017-18 season for the Broncs.
- The Broncs opened the year with a dual meet loss at Seton Hall before cruising to a victory last weekend against Lehigh.
- Following the first meet of the season, sophomore Justin Carey was tabbed as the MAAC Men's Swimmer of the Week and freshman Dillon Walles was named the MAAC Men's Diver of the Week.
- On Wednesday, Carey was once again honored as the MAAC Men's Swimmer of the Week.
- The weekly honor was the fifth of Carey's young career as he was named the swimmer of the week three times in 2016-17.
- As a team, Rider broke five pool records last weekend versus Lehigh.
- Carey broke three Coppola Pool records and won four events for Rider last week in a dual-meet victory against Lehigh. In the first event of the meet, Carey was part of the 200 medley relay that won with a new pool-record time of 1:32.18. Carey also won the 100 back (49.13), 200 back (1:52.75) and 100 fly (48.96). He also set new Coppola pool records in the 100 fly and the 100 back. Carey ranks in the top-50 in Division I in two events after Lehigh dual meet. He is 35th in the country in the 100 back and he is also in the top-50 in the 100 fly. He is 7/10 of a second away from an NCAA Division I B Qualifying Standard in both events.  
- Walles won both the 1M and 3M diving events for the second meet in a row. He had a mark of 292.95 in the 1m and posted a season-best score of 355.05 in the 3M. He tied the 3 meter pool record (355.05) held formerly by MAAC Championship Diver of the Meet, Trevor Hiller '14.
- Senior Zack Molloy won both the 100 free with a time of 46.67 and the 200 free (1:39.82) versus Lehigh, while finishing second in the 50 free (21.30). Beating Molloy in the 50 free was Vincent Gibbons with a mark of 21.17. Molloy's time in the 200 free was also a new Coppola pool record.
- The Broncs have now won 18 of their last 19 dual meets dating back to the 2014-15 season.
- The men came in first in 12 of 16 events, including setting the new pool record in the 200 medley relay.
- Rider swept the top-three positions in five events, including both the 1M and 3M diving.
- The quartet of Carey, Carter Paules, Maciej Paz and Gibbons won the 200 medley relay and set a new pool record with a time of 1:32.18 last time out.
