Biography

2017-18
- Finished 15th in the 400 individual medley at the ECAC Championships.
- Won gold and set a new MAAC record as part of the 200 free relay at the MAAC Championships.
- Came in 10th in the 50 free at the MAAC Championships.
- Won gold and set a new MAAC record as part of the 200 medley relay at the MAAC Championships.

2016-17
- Tied for fifth in the 50 free with a time of 21.03 at the MAAC Championships as Rider captured its sixth straight team title. His time was the 10th-fastest in the event in Rider history.
- He also finished third in the 100 fly and eighth in the 100 free at the event.
- Was part of the 200 free relay quartet that finished third at the ECAC Championships as Rider finished in second overall.
- Also added a 12th-place finish in the 100 fly and he was part of the 400 medley relay that came in sixth at the event.

2015-16
- As a sophomore, placed sixth in the finals of both the 50 free (21.07) and the 100 free (50.22) at the 2016 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships as Rider won its fifth straight team title.
- Best 100 free time of 46.24 came at Princeton’s Big Al.
- Best 100 fly time (49.83) came at the 2016 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships as Rider finished third.

2014-15
- As a Rider rookie, swam his best 50 free time (21.40) at the 2015 MAAC Championships as Rider won its fourth team title in a row…swam his best 100 free (46.97), 100 fly (50.67), and 200 fly (2:01.17) at the Brown University Invitational.

BEFORE RIDER
Attended Paramus Catholic High School…Four-year letterwinner, swimming the 50 free, 100 free and 100 fly…team captain…earned First Team All-League, All-County and All-State honors…fourth place at the Meet of Champions in the 100 free (46.97)…third place in the County Meet of Champions in the 50 free (22.22) and 100 fly (53.32)…swam at the 2014 Junior Olympics for the National Club Swimming Association (NCSA)…earned academic honors in science, math and history.

Majoring in Biology…son of Aleksander Paz and Dorota Sobania.
