Senior Day Saturday

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ—The Rider University women's soccer team will play its final home game of the regular season Saturday with a 1pm Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game against Marist.

Being the final home game, Rider will honor its eight graduating seniors in a 12:45pm ceremony.  If you cannot make the game or the ceremony you can watch all of the action on BroncVision.

Rider (8-3-3, 5-1-1-MAAC) enters the game in second place (16 points) behind undefeated and preseason favorite Monmouth (18 points).

Marist (6-7-1, 2-3-1 MAAC) has won its last two games and is currently in seventh place with seven points. The top six teams make the MAAC playoffs.

The Red Foxes are third in the MAAC in scoring with 25 goals in 14 games, while Rider is fifth with 21 goals.  Marist has allowed 28 goals, while Rider is second in the MAAC with allowing just 16 scores.

Marist has the MAAC's leading scorer in Camille Bowen, who has 10 goals and 22 points.

Rider's Ellie Smith is third in the MAAC with seven goals and 18 points.

At the other end of the field the Broncs have goalkeeper Bethany-May Howard, who ranks first in the MAAC in save percentage and shutouts and second in goals against average.

Last year Rider lost 1-0 at Marist. The Broncs have not defeated Marist in a regular season game since 2011. The Broncs did beat Marist in the 2013 MAAC playoffs. The two teams have met 20 times, with the Red Foxes holding a 12-7-1 advantage.

Rider completes the regular season with games at Iona and at Fairfield next week.
