EDISON, NJ – Rider University freshman goalkeeper Ashley Moore (Freehold, NJ/Freehold) has been named MAAC Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week, the league office today announced. Moore made six saves in securing her sixth shutout of the season to defeat Marist, 1-0, Wednesday night on Ben Cohen Field.

The weekly honors are the first of the year for the Broncs and the first of Moore's career. The Broncs last took a weekly honor on Oct. 28, 2024, when Ellie Sciancalepore earned Defensive Player of the Week, while the last Bronc to earn MAAC Rookie of the Week was Tess Ferrie on Aug. 26, 2024.

Moore finished the season second in the MAAC with 85 saves and third in shutouts (6), shutout percentage (.353) and saves per game (5.00).
