Rider at Connecticut Cup Day One
ELLINGTON, CT—The Rider golf team is competing at the Connecticut Cup Monday and Tuesday.
On Monday at the Ellington Ridge Country Club, the Broncs had rounds of 311 and 324 for a 635 and are currently in 15th place.
“Conditions were tough and we played terrible in the second round,” said head coach Jason Barry.
Boston College leads the field with a 589.
For the Broncs, senior Aaron Simone (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) is in 27th place among the 90 golfers with rounds of 73 and 79. “Aaron played a very solid first round,” Barry said.
Sophomore Eder Moreno (Madrid, Spain) is in 65th place with rounds of 76 and 83.
Senior Parker Mann (Blauvelt, NY/Tappen Zee) is in 74th place with rounds of 80 and 81. Play continues Tuesday.
