GCU Last Chance Meet
LAKEWOOD—Several members of the Rider University men's and women's track and field teams competing at the GCU Last Chance meet on Friday, hosted by Georgian Court University.
For the Rider women, senior Taylor Harmon (Robbinsville) won the high jump (1.62m), junior Daria Chadwick (Summit) was second in the 100 hurdles (14.69) and freshman Victoria Brewer (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) placed fourth in the 800 (2:22.32).
"It was a nice win for Harmon," said head coach Bob Hamer.
For the Bronc men, senior Andrew Pozo (Forked River/Toms River HS South) was second in the hammer throw (51.50m), sophomore Wil Asamoah (Edison) was seventh in the 400 hurdles (55.51) and freshman Anfernee Joseph (Somerset/Franklin) placed seventh in the 400 with a personal best of 50.26.
"Joseph had a nice PR," Hamer added.
Several more Rider athletes compete at the Swarthmore Last Chance meet on Monday.
"These last two meets are an opporunity to get one last great effort before the IC4A/ECAC championships this coming weekend," added Hamer.
