Now on Academic All-America Ballot
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ—Junior Tara Ballay of the Rider University women's soccer team was named to the Capital One Academic All-District 2 First Team, and her name will now appear on the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot.
“It is a tremendous achievement for Tara to be recognized for both her athletic performance and her academic performance,” said Rider head coach Drayson Hounsome. “She is a great example for every other player on the team on what can be achieved with hard work, dedication and desire.”
Ballay (Delran, NJ/Delran High School) leads the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in goals (11) and points (24) despite playing in just 12 games due to injuries.
In the classroom the Psychology major owns a 3.88 grade point average.

The former MAAC Rookie of the Year, Ballay has compiled 17 goals and five assists for 39 points in 37 career games. She ranks sixth all-time at Rider in both goals and points.
