Play 4 The Cure
Rider Hosts Bryant Sunday
LAWRENCEVILLE--Pretty in pink.
The Rider University field hockey team will exchange its cranberry team color for pink, as the Broncs will be playing '4 The Cure' and helping to raise money for the Susan G. Kormen Breast Cancer Awareness.
The field hockey game at Ben Cohen Field will be Rider's annual effort in helping fight against breast cancer.
Bryant (5-11, 2-2 NEC) is the most recent addition to the NEC, having moved up from Division II to Division I. Rider has won all four meetings with the Bryant Bulldogs, including a 6-0 victory last year in Rhode Island. The Bulldogs opened their trip to New Jersey on Friday with a loss at Monmouth.
Rider (10-5, 3-1 NEC) is led by junior Sandra Penas (Barcelona, Spain) with an NEC best 11 goals.
The Broncs defeated Siena College on Friday by a 3-1 score.
Help the Broncs look pretty in pink and in their fight against breast cancer by supporting the field hockey team at noon on Sunday.
