Rider's Nixon, Kajunski Honored by MAAC

LAWRENCEVILLE--Randy Nixon and Kelly Kajunski of the Rider University indoor track & field teams were named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Performers of the Week for all competition January 16-22.

Nixon, a junior from Manorville, NY (West Hampton), won the 55m hurdles at the Great Dane Classic with a personal best time of 7.58 that qualified for the IC4A Championships.

Kajunski, a sophomore from Glenmore, PA (Downington East), won the high jump with an ECAC qualifying height of 5'7” that tied her own Rider record.

Kajunski led Rider to a fifth place finish among the 18 teams at the 168th Street Armory, while Nixon led the men to an eighth place finish in the 22-team field.

The Rider track & field teams compete at the Boston Terrier Classic this weekend.
