Rider at Lafayette Invitational
EASTON, PA--The Broncs began the 2001-2002 indoor season at the Lafayette Invitational Saturday.
For the Rider men, senior Will Zimmerman (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) won the 60-yard high hurdles (7.66) and placed second in the 440 (50.5).
For the Rider women, junior Jen Riley (Holland, PA/Villa Joseph Marie) won the pole vault (9'6") and placed third in the high jump (4'10").
Sophomore Jennifer Nash (Toms River/Manchester Twp.) won the long jump (5.22m), and sophomore Jennifer Gramata (Pottstown, PA/Owen J. Roberts) won the 880 yard run (2:25.3).
Freshman Kevin Jones (Absecon/Absegami) won the men's long jump (6.68m), freshman Dana Mueller won the 880 (1:56.3), freshman Matthew Catinella (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Ryan) won the mile (4:31.8), and freshman Giovanni Ramos (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) won the 600 yard run (1:14.0).
Sophomore Nicole Cirillo (Red Bank/Red Bank Regional) placed second ion the 60 high hurdles (8.71), freshman Alexis Wood (West Milford/West Milford) placed third in the shot put (11.82m) and senior Karen Johanson (Jackson/Jackson) placed third in the 880 (2:28.1).
Sophomore Brandon Hicks (Maple Shade/Maple Shade) placed second in the 60 high hurdles (7.81) and third in the triple jump (13.22m). Junior Olushola Ijalana (Metuchen/Metuchen) placed second in the shot put (13.27m), sophomore Jay Kubitsky (Fairless Hills, PA/Pennsbury) placed third in the long jump (6.51m), junior Lou Abruzzese (Erial/Highland) placed third in the pole vault (10'6"), sophomore Aaron Johnson (Williamstown/Williamstown) placed third in the shot put (12.49m), and senior Shaun Rodgers (Somerset/Franklin) placed third in the 60 yard dash (6.55).
