LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Deputy Director of Athletics John Hangey has announced the appointment of Timothy Trivisonno as Interim Women's Lacrosse Coach Friday following the resignation of Rider University Head Women's Lacrosse Coach
Paige Frye.
"We are excited to announce Tim Trivisonno as our interim Head Coach for the women's lacrosse program," said Deputy Athletic Director John Hangey. "Tim brings a wealth of lacrosse experience to our program, along with a strong understanding of what it means to be part of the Rider community. As a Rider alum, he has a genuine passion for the University and a real commitment to our student-athletes. His experience and leadership will provide stability to the program as we move forward. We look forward to growing the lacrosse program under Tim's leadership and supporting our student-athletes through this transition."
Trivisonno spent the beginning of his coaching career coaching girls lacrosse at Hightstown High School, where he helped lead teams to multiple division championships and playoff appearances while developing several 100-goal scorers. Most recently, he has spent the last several years in Moorestown, New Jersey coaching at South Jersey Select, continuing his work with student-athletes at the high school level.
"I thank God for this opportunity, and I feel truly blessed to be coaching lacrosse at Rider University," said Trivisonno. "I am incredibly grateful to the leaders at Rider who believe in me and have entrusted me with this opportunity. Rider is a special place. It is a community that develops leaders, reveals character, and creates opportunities for people to discover who they are and what they are capable of becoming. After everything Rider has given me over the past two decades, I now have the opportunity to give back to the community that has played such an important role in my life. My goal is to give our student-athletes that same sense of home that I experienced as a student-athlete at Rider. I want to provide them with guidance, support, and purpose while helping them grow as lacrosse players, students, leaders, and young women prepared for life beyond college. Rider has given me so much, and I am incredibly excited for the opportunity to give back. I know how special this place can be, and I can't wait to bring that same sense of community, belonging, and opportunity to the Rider lacrosse program."
His coaching experience extends across multiple sports. In wrestling, Trivisonno served as an assistant coach at Hightstown and was the owner of Dynasty Wrestling Academy, where he has developed numerous 100-match winners, county, district and region champions, multiple state place winners and a state champion. He also founded the women's wrestling program at Rider, which has produced five national qualifiers and an All-American.
In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Trivisonno serves as Rider University's Director of Campus Recreation, providing him with extensive experience working within the university community and collaborating across campus to support student-athletes and student development.
