LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Rider University men's and women's cross country teams begin their 2026 season on Friday, September 4, at the Temple XC Invite in Ambler, Pennsylvania.

Men

The Broncs men's program was selected fourth in the 2026 Metro Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll off the back of a 2025 season that saw them finish fourth at the MAAC Championships last October.

• At the conference championships in 2025, matt McCarron led the Broncs runners with a time of 24:53.4, finishing in 17^th place while Rider's runner up, Santino D'Amelio finished in 23^rd place with a time of 25:03.9.
• Along with their two finishers in the Top-25, McCarron and D'Amelio are joined by top finishers David Rodenhaver and Matthew Mastroly who finished 37^th and 57^th at MAAC's last year respectively.
• Top returners from last year's meet at Temple include Frankie DiSilvestro, Christopher Gray, Melvin Lewis and Ethan Peffley.
• The Broncs are bolstered by freshman addition Jake Wickersham for the 2026 season.

Women

Rider's women's program was slected in fifth place in the 2026 Metro Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll after finishing in seventh place at last year's MAAC Championships. Senior runner Maddie Dischert was named to the 2025 All-MAAc team off the back of a 14^th place finish at last year's championships, posting a time 21:35.3.

• Along with Dischert, three other top finishers from last year's conference championships return: Olivia Bortz, Nicole Dauberman, and Tatiana Nunez who finished 44^th, 49^th, and 53^rd respectively at conferences in 2025.
• Top returners who ran at temple last year include Kaelyn Barker, Ava Capone, and Rebekah Hickey.
• The Broncs are bolstered by three new freshman runners: Victoria Botte, Ashley Doyle, and Riley Servis.
