MIDDLETOWN, NY – The Rider University women's cross country team notched a 4
th place finish at Saturday's Jasper Fall XC Invitational, with
Liz Fis and
Maddie Dischert logging fourth place and eighth place finishes respectively amongst the field of 139 runners in the women's 6000 meter race.
"The women raced really well today. This was a challenging course with some really good competition and they did a great job of managing this challenge. They did a really nice job of racing the second half of the race. We have a good team and we took steps towards being really good today. Liz ran outstanding today. She was patient and then aggressive over the second half of the race. Maddie ran a strong race today as well. They are a great tandem and we need both of them firing for us to be good. We had many women take some really good steps forward today."
