EMMITSBURG, MD - The Rider women's track and field team put together a strong opening day at the 2026 MAAC Outdoor Championships on Saturday sitting in third place, earning multiple podium finishes and advancing several athletes to Sunday's finals across both track and field events.
Nicole Dauberman earned a third-place finish in the 3000m steeplechase, crossing the line in 10:47.90.
Maddie Dischert also claimed bronze in the 10,000m with a time of 37:12.80.
In the field events,
Maria Chiariello placed second in the hammer throw with a mark of 48.28m, while
Gabrielle Vetere finished runner-up in the pole vault after clearing 3.75m.
On the track,
Dylan Giloley and
Valencia Gosser both qualified for Sunday's 100m final, with Giloley also advancing to the 200m final.
Janell Mordi secured spots in both the 100m hurdles and 400m hurdles finals.
Tamara Rawles posted the second-fastest time in the 400m prelims to move on to the final.
Olivia Bortz also recorded the second-fastest qualifying time in the 800m prelims to advance to Sunday's final.
In the 1500m,
Liz Fis and Alex Eglin each qualified for tomorrow's championship race.
