What You Need to Know
- The Rider men's and women's indoor track and field teams head to the 2026Â MAAC Indoor Championships this weekend, February 21-22, at the 168th Street Armory in New York City.
- The meet marks the 22nd straight year the championships will be held at the Armory.
- For the first time in league history, the championships will be streamed live on ESPN+.
- Both the Rider men and women enter as three-time defending MAAC Champions, each seeking a fourth consecutive indoor title.

Men's Preview
- For the fourth straight season, the Rider men were selected first in the MAAC Preseason Poll, earning all 10 first-place votes for a perfect 100 points. The Broncs captured their third consecutive MAAC Indoor title last year and fourth in program history, and will look to secure No. 5 this weekend.
- At last year's championships, Rider claimed titles in the 4x400 and 4x800 relays, while
Tamrat Snyder earned gold in the 800 meters.
- Head Coach
Bob Hamer was named MAAC Coach of the Year, and
Michael Palmer earned Field Most Outstanding Performer honors.

Damere Lassiter leads the conference in the shot put with a mark of 16.00m, while teammate
Ben Walls ranks second at 14.92m.
- Sophomore
Cartrell Moore holds the top triple jump mark in the MAAC at 14.59m, with freshman
Zach Jefferson close behind in second at 14.44m.

Jace Walls owns the second-best high jump mark in the conference at 2.01m.
- Freshmen
Isaac Roberts and
Mamadi Diawara rank first and second in the MAAC in the 60m hurdles with times of 8.00 and 8.15, respectively.

Juan Nicholas Hidalgo sits third in the conference in the 1000m with a time of 2:30.82.
Women's Preview
- On the women's side, Rider totaled 119 points and earned nine of 11 first-place votes to claim the top spot in the MAAC Preseason Poll. The Broncs enter the season as three-time defending MAAC Indoor Champions, having captured four titles in the last five years and five in program history. They now set their sights on a fourth straight championship and sixth overall.
- At last year's championships, the Broncs posted two relay podium finishes, placing second in the 4x400 relay and third in the 4x800 relay.
- Head Coach
Bob Hamer returns as the reigning MAAC Coach of the Year, while
Dylan Giloley earned MAAC Track Rookie of the Meet honors last season.

Dylan Giloley has put together an outstanding sophomore campaign, breaking four indoor program records in the 60m, 200m, 300m and 400m.

Tamara Rawles joined Giloley in the record books, breaking the 400m indoor mark at the Penn Invite (Jan. 30).
- Giloley currently ranks third in the MAAC in the 60m (7.55), third in the 200m (24.58) and second in the 400m (56.30).
- Rawles sits third in the conference in the 400m with a time of 56.38.

Gabrielle Vetere is tied for second in the MAAC in the pole vault with a mark of 3.80m.
- Freshman
Kendra Green owns the top mark in the conference in the shot put at 13.49m.

Maria Chiariello and
Daniella Johnson both rank among the top five in the MAAC in the weight throw, with Chiariello third at 15.91m and Johnson fourth at 15.75m.
