NEW ORLEANS – The Rider University men's and women's track and field teams were both named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams by the organization on Monday. The women's teams have been honored every possible time in Director of Cross Country, Track & Field Bob Hamer's 18-year tenure, while the men's teams have been honored 34 of a possible 36 times.
 
"I am very impressed with our athlete's dedication and commitment to their academics," said Hamer. "We stress being our best in all phases of our lives and it is very rewarding to see the athletes commit to their education. They are a great representation of Rider."

To be selected as an All-Academic Team, the team must produce a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. The men's team had a cumulative team GPA of 3.16 and the women's team finished with a cumulative GPA of 3.41.
