EASTON, PA – The Rider University women's swimming and diving team was defeated in its regular season finale Thursday night, falling to Lafayette, 179-116. The Broncs fall to 2-7.
The Broncs won five events in the meet.
To open the day,
Chas Ruatos (Lodi, NJ/Immaculate Conception),
Liv Turner-Havira (Archbald, PA/Scranton Prep),
Casey Morgan (Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.), and
Donja Tripp (Bethlehem, PA/Notre Dame) combined to swim the 200-medley relay in 1:47.60 for the win.
Morgan won the 100-back with a time of 57.85. Morgan then swam one-two in the 200-back with
Aubree-Clare Alewine-Flores (Jefferson, GA/Jefferson). The duo swam 2:07.19 and 2:10.07.
Tripp and
Sonya Mishakova (Bali, Indonesia/Australian Independent School Bali) finished one-two in the 50-free, swimming 24.04 and 24.88.
Rachel Hutchins (Elkridge, MD/Annapolis Area Christian School) won the 100-fly with a time of 58.29.
