COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The NFHCA announced its selections for weekly field hockey awards Wednesday and Rider University's Jade Regnart was honored for their play on the field over the past week, being named NFHCA National Defensive Player of the Week.

The NEC Defensive Player of the Week, Regnart did not allow a goal in 30 minutes of action against Mercyhurst Friday. Then Sunday against Davidson, Regnart was dominant, making a career-high 19 saves, including stopping a penalty stroke to secure the 1-0 win. The 19 saves are the most by any player in the country this season in a shutout win. For the year, Regnart ranks fifth nationally in saves per game, and eighth in save percentage.

The junior becomes just the second player in program history to earn an NFHCA weekly award, joining Valeria Perales, who was named NFHCA Offensive Player of the Week in 2025.
