EDISON, NJ – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced results of its preseason coaches poll for women's lacrosse Friday and Rider University was selected to finish tied for tenth, garnering 31 points in the preseason poll.
Fairfield, the defending regular season champions and tournament champions, earned 11 of a possible 12 first place votes to earn the top spot in the poll. Mount St. Mary's, who finished as the 2025 regular season champions and the MAAC Tournament's top seed, claimed second in the poll. Siena was picked third overall, including the final first-place vote. Iona, Niagara, and Quinnipiac round out the coach's picks for the 2026 MAAC Tournament field. Sacred Heart, Marist, and Canisius came in above the Broncs and Manhattan, who both were picked tenth. Merrimack rounds out the poll behind Rider.
The Broncs kick off the 2026 season at FDU February 7.
