LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Four members of the Rider University lacrosse team were honored for their work both in the classroom and on the field, being named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team.
Marissa Ross,
Anna Devlin,
Elena Bontatibus, and
Erin Collins were all honored by the organization Tuesday.
All honorees possess a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher and reach sophomore status academically and athletically. Eligible nominees for lacrosse must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. If more than six student-athletes from an institution are eligible, the six nominees determined to have the best combination of academic and athletic achievement are selected.
It is the second Academic All-District honor for Devlin, who was previously honored in her senior season at TCNJ, while it is the first honor for Ross, Bontatibus, and Collins.
The 2025 Academic All-District® At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in five divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, and all other institutions not affiliated with the NCAA or NAIA.
