Field Hockey Announces 2025 Schedule

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Rider University field hockey team has announced its 2025 schedule Thursday featuring trips to Colgate, Hofstra, Monmouth, Drexel, Towson, Mercyhurst, La Salle, Georgetown, and Lehigh along with the usual NEC slate.

The Broncs will travel for their first four contests, before the home opener and start of NEC play on Sept. 19 against Stonehill.

The NEC Tournament will take place Nov. 6-8.


Colgate
Friday, Aug. 29 * Hamilton, NY

Series History:
 Rider leads 17-13
Last Meeting: Rider, 5-1 (Aug. 30, 2024; Hamilton, NY)
2024 Record: 4-13 (1-5 Patriot)
2024 Postseason: None
Quickly: Olivia Machiavelli scored a pair of goals and Semra Said dished out a pair of assists in Rider's season-opening 5-1 win last season. Rider has won 12 of the last 14 meetings in the series.
 
Hofstra

Quickly: Perales found the back of the cage against the Pride both last season and in 2022 helping Rider to victories in each game. Hofstra was able to keep her off the board in 2023, a 2-0 Hofstra victory. Rider has won five of the last six meetings in the series.
 
Monmouth

Quickly: Monmouth got the better of the Broncs last season, topping Rider 5-0, and going on to reach the CAA Championship game, falling in overtime to Delaware. After the Broncs had dominated the series between the longtime NEC and MAAC rivals, Monmouth has now won 10 straight in the series.
 
Drexel

Quickly: Jade Regnart made five saves, but the Broncs were defeated at Drexel last season. The Dragons ended the regular season ranked 17th in the country before being upset by Monmouth in the CAA Semifinals. Rider has won 12 of the last 14 meetings in the series.

Quickly: After Megan Normile scored to tie the game just under three minutes into the fourth quarter, La Salle would score the game-winning goal with just over five minutes remaining to take down the Broncs last season.

Quickly: The Seahawks defeated the Broncs 2-1 in what was the de facto NEC Regular Season Championship game a season ago. All three goals in the contest came in the third quarter when Wagner opened the scoring, the Broncs tied the game on a goal from Valeria Perales, then Wagner retook the before the quarter expired.
