PRINCETON, NJ – The Rider women's track and field team concluded day two of the Larry Ellis Invitational on Saturday, setting the stage for next weekend's MAAC Outdoor Championships.
In the pole vault,
Gabrielle Vetere tied for a spot in the top ten with a clearance of 3.77 meters.
The 800m final saw strong performances from
Krisantha Spencer and
Lydia Wallace, both finishing in the top five. Wallace placed fifth with a time of 2:13.37, while Spencer narrowly edged her out for fourth with a time of 2:13.36.

"Lydia and Krisantha both ran really strong races in the 800 today. Lydia is really rounding into great form as we approach the championship season. She's had great races the last two weeks. Krisantha took a huge step forward today. She raced confidently today, and she was rewarded with an all-time top ten mark.
Gabby was really good in the vault today. It is a really strong event for us, and we need to be there because it is a great event in the MAAC. This will give Gabby a big lift as we approach next week."
