What You Need To Know
- The fourth-seeded Rider University women's tennis team competes at MAAC Men's Tennis Championships, opening competition Friday at 2 p.m. against fifth-seeded Siena.
- The sixth-seeded Rider University men's tennis team takes on third-seeded Fairfield on Friday at 10 a.m.
- The men's team qualified for the MAAC Championships for the second-straight season after having not qualified since 2010, when all teams went to the tournament. The women's team is makings first tournament appearance since 2010.
- The women's team started the league slate strong with wins over Sacred Heart, Merrimack and Mount St. Mary's, before falling consecutively to Quinnipiac and Fairfield. The Broncs won two of their last three in league play with wins over Marist and Niagara sandwiched around a 4-3 setback to Siena.
- The men's team battled back from a pair of early losses to Sacred Heart and Merrimack to win four of its next five in league play with wins over Mount St. Mary's, Fairfield, Marist and Siena.
- The Broncs had an unprecedented five All-MAAC honorees covering six awards – four on the men's side and two on the women's.
Dhruv Tangri and
Matteus Froberg Dahlin earned All-MAAC First Team in doubles, with each player also taking Second Team honors in singles. The duo was joined on the Second Team Singles by
Cole Thurgur. On the women's side,
Laila Fishman took First Team Singles, while
Maria Buss was named to the Second Team in Singles. Prior to 2023, when Tangri and
Stavros Hadjivarnava earned All-MAAC honors, no Bronc had received the recognition since 2006.
- Rider placed eight men's players on the MAAC All-Academic Team, second-most in the conference. The group consisted of
Vishal Ganeshan,
Giacomo Ghitti,
Matthew Griscti,
Dylan Lachmanen,
Roger Martinez,
Chris Polish,
Nathan Slattery and
Ibragim Turgambekov. To be eligible, student-athletes must post at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and complete at least two semesters at their institution.
- Five from the women's team were also honored on the MAAC All-Academic Team.

Meadow LaDuke and
Daniela Naves were all honored.
