LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Rider University sophomore men's tennis student-athlete
Matteus Froberg Dahlin (Lidingo, Sweden/Hersby Gymnasium) has been named MAAC Men's Tennis Player of the Month, the league office today announced. Froberg Dahlin opened the month by winning the MAAC Masters Singles Championship. Over the three-day tournament, the third-seeded Froberg Dahlin won four matches, defeating Martin Macias of Sacred Heart, Kostas Kollias of Fairfield, Ian Layton of Marist and Siena's Sviatoslav Koliadynskyi.
Froberg Dahlin posted a 5-2 singles mark on the month, also earning a win over Hofstra's Hideki Matsuoka at the ITA Northeast Regionals.
With his MAAC Master's Championship, Froberg Dahlin clinched a spot in the ITA Conference Masters Championships at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, CA, Nov. 6-9.
