LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Rider University men's soccer sophomore defender
Max Schrader (Cherry Hill, NJ/Scholar Athletes Leadership Academy) has been picked Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week Honorable Mention, the website today announced. Schrader scored the game-winning goal in the Broncs' 2-0 win at Mount St. Mary's to cap the regular season on Nov. 5.
The goal was the Rider defender's first as a Bronc. Awarded a free kick just outside the top, right corner of the 18-yard box,
Kaelan Debbage (Queensland, Australia/Kawana Waters State H.S. [Spring Arbor Univ./Gardner Webb]) played to the top of the six-yard box to the head of Schrader, with the Broncs' sophomore back putting it inside the near post for a 1-0 lead.
Xavi Csato (Stuart, FL/The Pine School [Stetson/UNC Greensboro]) added a goal in the 58
th minute as the Broncs secured the 2-0 victory.
Schrader joins
Lovro Kostanjsek (Domzale, Slovenia/Gimnazija Domzale) in earning the weekly honor this season, with Kostanjsek taking the recognition following a two-goal, one-assist performance on Sept. 1 vs. George Washington.
