Broncs Host West Virginia on Nov. 14

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Rider University released its 2024-25 schedule. The teams' schedule comes with a pair of dual meets with B1G opponents. The Broncs open up their dual season when they host West Virginia on Nov. 14. Following that, the Broncs will be on the road until Dec. 20 when they host a quad meet with South Dakota St, Pittsburgh, and Maryland.

"Our 24-25 schedule is once again very challenging. We are hosting three Power 4 schools and traveling to compete with two others,  plus attending the Cliff Keen Invitational. It will provide an opportunity to compete against some of the best teams and wrestlers in the nation, which will help prepare our individuals and team for the MAC and NCAA Championships at the end of the year." –Rider Head Coach John Hangey

The Broncs start their season at the Princeton open on Nov. 3. The tournament includes a variety of wrestlers and teams. At this event last year, the team had an impressive showing to send six Broncs on the podium led by Colton Washleski, taking home second place.

Following the Princeton Open, the Broncs will have a road trip following their home dual meet against WVU. The road trip starts with their MAC opener against Northern Illinois University on Nov. 22. The Broncs will then take on the Badgers of Wisconsin for their first of two B1G opponents on Nov. 24.

The Broncs will have a small break from competition to prep for the respected Cliff Keen Invitational in Las Vegas that runs through Dec. 6-7. Rider will close out 2024 when they wrestle at the prestigious Midlands Championships on Dec 29-30.

Rider will open the 2025 year at the Virginia Duals on Jan. 10-11, then travel back to the area to take on crosstown rival Princeton in a dual. The Broncs will follow the Princeton match with a three-match home stretch that includes Drexel on Jan. 25, George Mason on Feb. 1, and Campbell on Feb. 2.

The team will close the regular season with five MAC duals before they host the MAC Championships at Cure Insurance Arena in Trenton, NJ which is scheduled for Mar. 7-8. The NCAA Championships will be shortly after when the championships come back to Philadelphia set for Mar. 20-22.
