LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The MAAC announced their weekly awards Monday afternoon. Freshman forward
Tess Ferrie (Branford, CT/Branford) highlighted the honors, earning Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week. The award comes after Ferrie led the Broncs to their first win of the 2024 season at Delaware State.
The freshman scored her first collegiate goal on the same night she recorded her first collegiate hat trick to fuel the Broncs to a 5-0 shutout over Delaware State on the road. The Branford, CT, native's point total is now at six going into the fourth game of the season. On Sunday against Seton Hall, Ferrie just missed her fourth goal of the week, hitting the right post with a shot in the 10th minute.
The Broncs return to action Thursday, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m., when they host Saint Joseph's on Ben Cohen Field before traveling to Newark, NJ, for a matchup with NJIT on Sunday, Sept. 1.
