Parsons Returns to Rider Sideline as Assistant Coach

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Rider University head women's basketball coach Lynn Milligan has announced that Alyssa Parsons '12 will be returning to the Broncs' sideline as assistant coach for the 2024-25 season.

"I want to thank the Rider Women's Basketball coaching staff for this opportunity, especially Lynn," said Parsons. "It's a true full circle moment to have played for Rider under Lynn's leadership and now coming back to coach here alongside her. I'm excited to be coming home to Rider. I also want to thank Don Harnum and the rest of the Rider Athletics staff for welcoming me back. I'm ready to get started and look forward to working with the players on helping them cultivate confidence, build resilience, and excel both on and off the court, and of course win. Go Broncs!"

Parsons most recently served as an assistant at Stevens Institute of Technology helping the Ducks to a 36-18 record during her two seasons with the team, including an NCAA Tournament berth following the 2022-23 season. Parsons got her start in the collegiate coaching ranks at Pratt Institute, where she began the 2021-22 year as assistant coach before being named the interim head coach midseason.

"I am thrilled to welcome Alyssa back home to Rider WBB," said Milligan. "She has had an amazing journey since she left Rider and to have her come back full circle is amazing.  She has so much to share and teach our Lady Broncs.  You are only as good as the people you surround yourself with, and with Alyssa back and working with MyNeshia and Sharay - I couldn't ask for better."

During her playing career at Rider, Parsons was a three-time team captain, playing in 78 contests and scoring 289 career points while dishing out 173 career assists.
