Quotes & Notes
"After the last game we had and that result, we definitely wanted to win it. The crazy thing about this team is there's still so much opportunity for growth. This is the early phases of it. Overall, just proud of the girls and going into our spring break trip."
"The biggest thing is focusing on ourselves. A lot of teams when they get down, whether it's one or whether it's five, you start doing thing that try to counteract what they're doing. We just tell the team, trust the scout, trust each other, and do what we do best."
– Head coach Evan Mager
"Their goalie was great, we knew that coming into the game, but someone had to step up and get our team hyped again. The most important thing is staying together, keeping ourselves composed, not getting frustrated, and knowing that things aren't going our way, but we got to get back as a team and work together."
– Redshirt-Sophomore Midfielder Katie Walsh
"It was just a switch in mentality for me. It was a tight game, I'm pretty upset with myself and how I was playing, so I was thinking, I have to step up. After that, I was just seeing every shot and making every save I could. As a goalie, it's all about mentality. I was always taught just to reset and go to the next one, and that's what I did every every single time there's a shot going off."
– Redshirt-Sophomore Goalie Jamie Kubach
- Kubach got the start in goal and played 57:23 in net, making 11 saves while allowing just six goals to earn the win.
- Walsh tied a program record with her five goals in the contest.
