CLINTON, SC – The Rider University women's lacrosse erased a three-goal deficit for the second-straight game, defeating Presbyterian, 18-10, Wednesday night. The Broncs improve to 6-1 with the win, while the Blue Hose fall to 0-6.
The Blue Hose were strong out of the gate, building a 5-2 lead through the early second quarter. Trailing 6-3,
Kylee Garcia (Neshanic Station, NJ/Somerville[FDU-Florham]) scored her third goal of the game, then
Katie Walsh (Marlton, NJ/Camden Catholic[FDU-Florham]) found the back of the net to trim the deficit to 6-5. After a Presbyterian score, Garcia scored her fourth of the first half, then
Anna Devlin (Marmora, NJ/Ocean City[TCNJ]) scored with six seconds remaining to even the game at 7-7 at the break.
Leading 10-9 midway through the third,
Emily Wesoky (Sterling, VA/Dominion[Wagner]) scored, followed by a tally from Walsh. Then
Selena Carrington (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North[Rutgers]) recorded a natural hat trick that gave her five goals on the game, and finally Garcia matched Carrington with her fifth of the contest to extend the lead to 16-9. The Broncs held the Blue Hose to just one goal over the final 23:30 to secure the win.

Jamie Kubach (Philadelphia, PA/William Penn Charter[FDU-Florham]), who made two saves, while allowing just three goals to earn the victory.
