Women's Track & Field Goes Back-to-Back at MAAC Championships

Stephens and Glasco each earned gold, Stephens named Field Most Outstanding Performer

NEW YORK, NY – For the third time in five years, the Rider Broncs sit atop the MAAC as Women's Track and Field dominated the second day of competition at the MAAC Indoor Track and Field Championships. The Broncs scored 179.5 team points and had three MAAC Champions as Mariah Stephens top the top spot in the 60m hurdles and triple jump and Natya Glasco took gold in the shot put. 

Stephens had an unbelievable meet as she won both the triple jump and the 60m hurdles, in addition to her win Saturday in the long jump. Stephens repeated as triple jump champion with a jump of 12.11m, after taking home the title as a sophomore last season. Stephens also picked up her first MAAC title on the track in the 60H with a time of 8.64 after PR'ing in the prelims yesterday. 

Glasco won the shot put with a mark of 14.65m and finished 4th in the weight throw with a mark of 16.05. Chika Efobi came in 2nd place in the shot put with the mark of 13.75m.
