What You Need To Know
Rider University's Wrestling Team hosts Clarion to round out their home dual season.

Last Time Out
-The Rider University Wrestling team rounded out their weekend of duals by staying perfect in the MAC with a 30-9 victory over George Mason.
- Rider kicked off the dual with more magic from Tyler Klinsky and Richie Koehler, who both returned to their bonus point ways in Fairfax. Klinsky picked up his team-best 10th bonus point win and seventh tech fall by taking down JB Dragovich. Koehler then topped Klinsky's win with his second pin of the year taking down Brandon Wittenberg to give Rider an 11-0 dual lead after two bouts.
- The win gave Rider their 11th straight MAC win dating back to January 26th of 2023.

Broncs in the Rankings
- Rider ranks three wrestlers in the Intermat national rankings with #33 Quinn Kinner, #28 Colton Washleski, and #32 David Szuba.
- Rider also had the three wrestlers named in the NCAA Coaches Poll with #25 Kinner, #24 Washleski, and #28 Szuba.
- Rider was also ranked #19 as a team in the first NWCA Division I Men's Wrestling Mid-Major Coaches Poll of the season, released on Wednesday.
- Rider remains the lone unbeaten in the Mid-American at 6-0 in Conference.
- Rider will also be looking to clinch their second straight MAC East Divison Dual Title.

Bonus Point Bonanza
- Rider tied a season-best with seven bonus point victories vs Bloomsburg as Tyler Klinsky, Richie Koehler, Will Betancourt, Quinn Kinner, Michael Wilson, Azeem Bell, David Szuba all won by pin, tech fall, or major decision vs the Huskies.
- The Broncs previously set this mark vs Edinboro, 34-6 with three tech falls from Tyler Klinsky, Quinn Kinner, and Colton Washleski.
- Klinsky currently leads Rider with ten bonus point wins.

Winner Washleski
- Colton Washleski has been excellent in tournaments as he was crowned 157 lbs champion as Rider University's Wrestling team competed at the A Better Way Athletics Patriot Open hosted by George Mason University earlier this year.
- Washleski has reached the podium in all three tournaments/opens he's competed in this year, including placing 6th at the 59th Ken Kraft Midland Open.
- Washleski currently holds a team-best 23-6 record being the first Bronc to reach double-digit wins

Big Kinner
- Quinn Kinner secured his second NCAA Tournament appearance in 2022-23, finishing the year with a 24-9 record in his first season at 149. Kinner was able to battle back through the blood rounds at the MAC Championships, finishing third to secure his spot at NCAAs.
- Kinner started the year with one of his most impressive performances with Rider after taking down a pair of nationally ranked opponents vs SIUE and Indiana (#21 Caleb Tyus and #6 Graham Rooks)
- The Ohio State transfer has been a dominant piece for the Broncs since coming over from OSU where he posted a 38-10 record over two seasons at Ohio State, including a redshirt year as a true freshman in 2018-19.
- The Mullica Hill native returns to the Garden State where he was one of the most impressive wrestlers in the state at Kingsway Regional High School where he won two state titles for the Red Dragons.

Kingsway Connection
- Kinner and Bell return to action on the same mat after being NCAA Qualifiers last season. The pair also return to wrestling together at Kingsway Regional in South Jersey.
- Bell was a three-time New Jersey State Place Winner amassing over 150 wins as a Red Dragon
- Kinner was a two-time NJ state champion finishing his career as one of the most decorated wrestlers in school history.

History vs Clarion
- Rider and Clarion are meeting for the 24th time this Friday with Rider holding a 19-4 all-time advantage in the series history.
- Rider has won each of the last five vs the Golden Eagles
- Last year Rider came away with a 25-12 win vs. Clarion to sweep the weekend vs conference opponents.
-Rider was led to victory by #29 McKenzie Bell, #22 Quinn Kinner, and #5 Ethan Laird, who all were able to pick up bonus point wins on the afternoon. Bell continued his hot streak with his seventh major of the year and his third in a row, outsourcing opponents 27-0 in his last three bouts.

About The Golden Eagles
- Last time out the Golden Eagles fell 18-16 to Buffalo. The teams split the bouts evenly but Buffalo outscored Clarion 3-1 in terms of bonus points, giving them just enough for the win.
- Three Golden Eagles were ranked in the NCAA Coaches Poll as Alejandro Herrera-Rondon (29th - 157), John Worthing (32nd - 174) and Cam Pine (30th - 184) were all featured in the initial rankings release.
- Herrera-Rondon came in at 29th at 157 pounds in the first ranking. He reached the quarterfinal round of the Southern Scuffle earlier this season, and is one of five Mid-American Conference (MAC) 157-pounders in the ranking.
 - John Worthing is tied with Northern Colorado's Travis Mastrogiovanni for 32nd in the 174-pound rankings. A 2023 NCAA qualifier that went 2-2 at the Big Dance a year ago, he is one of three MAC wrestlers featured at his weight.
 - Pine comes in at 30th in the 184-pound rankings and is one of two MAC wrestlers on the list.  A finalist at the Southern Scuffle, he has won eight of his last night matches, and was named the MAC East Co-Wrestler of the Week for Jan. 16.
