EDISON, NJ – Rider women's soccer forward
Noa Menzing (Oldenzaal, Netherlands/VAVO Lyceum Twente) has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career, following a stellar performance that led Rider to their first conference win of the season against Merrimack. Menzing's impressive offensive display featured two goals and an assist, contributing to a total of five points in the victory, marking her first points of the season.
In a crucial matchup against Merrimack, Menzing's contribution proved to be the driving force behind the Broncs' success. Her first goal of the match put Rider on the scoreboard in the 29th minute, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Menzing found the back of the net again in the second half in the 52nd minute, extending Rider's lead. To cap off her impressive outing, she showcased her playmaking abilities with a perfectly timed assist to set up a
Tess Ferrie goal.
The Broncs return to action Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m., when they host the Iona Gaels on Ben Cohen Field.
