LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Rider University sophomore goalkeeper
Adam Salama (Ramle, Israel/Orthodox [Ottawa Univ.]) has been named MAAC Defensive Player of the Week for the second-straight week, the league office today announced. Salama earned the win in a pair of matches this week against La Salle and Fairfield, conceding just one goal in the process.
Salama made two saves to earn the win against La Salle, before collecting a season-high six saves in his fourth clean sheet of the season against Fairfield. For the year, Salama has now posted a 0.50 goals-against average and an .867 saves percentage.
The Broncs return to action Saturday, when they travel to Quinnipiac. Kickoff from Hamden, CT, is scheduled for 2 p.m.
