LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – New Rider University Men's Soccer Head Coach Chad Duernberger's first season leading the Broncs will begin with four road contests before the team returns home for a four-game homestand, Sept. 12-23. The Broncs begin the season at Seton Hall (Aug. 24), Saint Joseph's (Aug. 28), Sacred Heart (Sept. 5) and NJIT (Sept. 8), before returning home to face Penn (Sept. 12), Siena (Sept. 16), La Salle (Sept. 19) and Fairfield (Sept. 23).

"We are extremely excited for our upcoming 2023 season," said Duernberger. "Anytime you go on the road to play away, you have to have a brotherhood that wants to win together. The schedule provides challenges with our first four matches away and I'm excited to see how quickly our group can grow together. Our non-conference fixtures will certainly test us and get us prepared to go into MAAC play. I can't wait to be a part of those special moments on Ben Cohen Field this fall."

Quickly: Rider played Saint Peter's to a wild tie for the second-straight year last season. After Adel Al-Masude put the Broncs on top, 1-0, in the fourth minute, Saint Peter's scored in 32' and 58' to take a 2-1 lead that it held until the 90^th minute. With just 23 seconds left in regulation, the Broncs were awarded a penalty kick that Guillaume Sarrabayrouse connected on for the equalizer. That result came a year after Saint Peter's jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals in the 12^th and 14^th minutes, before Rider equalized with tallies in the 40^th and 51^st minutes. Saint Peter's regained the lead 43 seconds later, only for Rider to knot the score again less than six minutes later as the teams settled for a 3-3 draw. Saint Peter's won the prior two meetings with Rider's last win over the Peacocks coming in 2017.
