Sharay Hall Announced as Women's Basketball Assistant Coach

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Rider University women's basketball team announced the hiring of Sharay Hall as assistant coach for the 2023-24 season. Hall joins the Broncs from Millersville University, where she was the head coach for the Marauders for the past two seasons, leading the team to an 11-win improvement between her first and second seasons, reaching the PSAC Tournament for the first time in over five years.

"We are thrilled to welcome someone with Sharay's experience, knowledge, and strong work ethic to our Lady Bronc family," said head coach Lynn Milligan. "She is someone throughout the process that really stood out to me as a connector and someone who could enhance our program in all areas. Sharay has a passion for the game that shines through."

Prior to her time at Millersville, Hall was an assistant at Colgate, helping the Raiders to their most successful season in 16 years in 2019-20, while being named to the WBCA Thirty Under 30 list.

"I want to thank Coach Milligan and athletic director Don Harnum for welcoming me to the Bronc family," said Hall. "I am excited to start this new journey of my coaching career with such a special athletic department and continue the tradition of competitive excellence here at Rider University!"

Hall began her coaching career as a graduate assistant at Lock Haven University. Following stops at Clarion, Frostburg State and West Virginia Wesleyan, Hall got her first head coaching position at Division III Pitt-Bradford.

A four-year player, and three-year starter at Lock Haven University, Hall earned All-PSAC honors as a senior after averaging 12.5 points and 6.0 rebounds in her final season.
