BUFFALO, NY – The Rider University women's swimming and diving team sits seventh after the opening day of competition at the MAAC Championships. The Broncs totaled 46 points, while Fairfield leads the way with 72 points.
Rider opened the day with a seventh-place finish in the 200-medley relay.
Connar Melcher (Mohnton, PA/Governor Mifflin),
Sarah Fondacaro (Sewell, NJ/Washington Township),
Maddie McSorley (Philadelphia, PA/Nazareth Academy), and
Giavanna Lupi (Vineland, NJ/Vineland) touched the wall at 1:46.27.
In the 800-free relay,
Logan Wilson (Muskego, WI/Waukesha South),
Aviah Dahlgren (Honesdale, PA/Wyoming Seminary College Prep),
Paola Carlesso (Caracas, Venezuela/The New School Medellin[Colegio Simon Bolivar]), and
Ashlee Limbacher combined for a time of 7:53.80 for an eighth-place finish.
