ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Rider University men's swimming and diving team is eighth through the second day at the ECAC Championships. The Broncs have compiled 125 points, while the US Naval Academy leads the way with 537.5 points.
Christian Overton (Westampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley),
Alex Boeckx (Folsom, PA/Ridley),
Jack Ruggieri (Bellmawr, NJ/Gloucester Catholic), and
Bobby Irwin (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East), combined for a time of 1:29.98 in the 200-medley relay, placing fourth to open the day.
David Cooper (Conroe, TX/Klein Oak) swam 55.26 in the 100-breast to place fifth.
In the 100-back, Overton swam 49.63 to place third with
David Rucci (Sewell, NJ/Gateway Regional) touching the wall at 49.82 for fourth.
