Baseball Announces 2024 Schedule

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Rider University head baseball coach Dr. Barry Davis has announced the schedule for the 2024 season on Wednesday.
 
The season kicks off Feb. 16-118 when the Broncs travel to perennial power East Carolina for a three-game set. Rider then continues with road trips to East Tennessee State on Feb. 23-25 and Kent State on Mar. 1-3.
 
The Broncs home-opener is scheduled against FDU on Mar. 6, after which the Broncs begin their spring break trip with a three-game series at USC-Upstate Mar. 8-10 and a pair of games at Duke Mar. 12-13. The Broncs close out spring break with a three-game series at St. John's Mar. 15-17. Rider then travels on Mar. 19 to face in-state rival Rutgers.
 
The Broncs kick off MAAC play at Quinnipiac Mar. 22-24. The beginning of the Liberty Bell Classic is on Mar. 26, when Rider hosts Villanova. MAAC play continues Mar. 28-30 when Saint Peter's visits Sonny Pittaro Field. The second round of the Liberty Bell Classic is on Apr. 2, where the Broncs will host either Delaware State or Lehigh. The Broncs then host Siena for a three-game set Apr. 5-7.
 
The Broncs then have a non-conference home game against NJIT on Apr. 10 before making the trip to Marist, Apr. 12-14. The Battle of 206 is reprised with a short trip to Princeton on Apr. 17, with the Broncs then visiting Maine Apr. 19-21. A mid-week game at Seton Hall on Apr. 23 sets up the Broncs return to MAAC play against Niagara, Apr. 26-28 at Sonny Pittaro Field. After a trip to Mount St. Mary's, May 3-5, the Broncs have their final home series of the year against Iona May 10-12, then close out the regular season at Manhattan May 16-18.
 
The MAAC Tournament and its familiar six-team double-elimination format will take place May 22-26 at Clover Stadium in Pomona, NY.
