Wrestling Drops Dual at Home to Bucknell

Klinsky and Laird bonus point wins not enough for Rider vs Bucknell

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ –Tyler Klinsky and Ethan Laird were both able to pick up bonus point wins however Rider would fall 19-15 to Bucknell. With the loss, the Broncs drop to 4-4 on the year and Bucknell moves to 6-4 overall.

Rider was able to start the dual on top partially due to a big opening win at 125 from Tyler Klinsky, who was able to get his first tech fall of the year as he took down Grayson McLlean, 22-6.

Rider would get wins at 141 and 149 from #33 McKenzie Bell and #23 Quinn Kinner to lead them to a 11-4 advantage heading to 157. Bell was able to pick up another win over a nationally ranked opponent as he beat #22/#11 Darren Miller by decision. The win adds to Bell's impressive season now with a 28-7 record and wins vs #22/#11 Miller as well as a win over Parker Filius who was ranked #11 at the time of their meeting earlier this year.

Bucknell would go on a four-bout win streak and take the lead 16-15 going to 197.

At 197, Laird got another dominant win as he took down Nolan Springer 16-3 to cut the dual score to only one. For Laird, it is his second straight win by major decision and his third bonus point win in his last four bouts.
