Box Score QUEENS, NY – The Rider University men's tennis team was defeated 7-0 by Queens College, Tuesday morning. With the loss, the Broncs fall to 2-5, while the Knights improve to 7-4.
The Knights opened with a sweep of the doubles matches. In the singles, Queens College continued their clean sweep, earning the next six points to close out their victory.
"I really feel that our men are going to break through.," said Rider Head Coach
Tom Battaglia. "Queens did a great job of playing steady neutral tennis and they took advantage when we let them take offense. Great effort in the second sets by Vishal and Marcus. We just need to find a way to start that match with that intensity."
The Broncs return to action Thursday, March 24
th when they host Harford Community College. Matches are set to begin at 2:30 p.m.
