Broncs drop the Spring home opener to the Terriers

Box Score Lawrenceville, NJ – The Rider University men's tennis team fell in the Spring home opener versus St. Francis College Brooklyn, 7-0, Friday afternoon. With the loss, the Broncs fall to 1-4, while the Terriers improve to 5-4.

The Terriers took all six singles and all three doubles in their sweep of the Broncs.

"Overall, I was pleased with the energy before the match, but once we started I think we laid off the gas. We played too defensive in doubles. Sometimes they want to win so badly that I think they look forward to the final result. We just need to stay in the moment and focus on the things we can control." – Rider Head Coach Tom Battaglia.

The Broncs return to action Sunday, March 20th when they travel to Bloomsburg, PA to face off against the Huskies. Matches are set to begin at 1 p.m.
