- Prior to Monday's game the Broncs will retire Stella Johnson's number 4. Johnson will be just the second female, and first women's basketball player to have their number retired in Rider history.

- Rider was picked to finish tied for sixth in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Broncs return four starters and all but three members of last year's team.

Makayla Firebaugh (Winchester, VA/James Wood) was named Preseason Third-Team All-MAAC. The 2020-21 MAAC Co-Rookie of the Year averaged 11.0 points and 4.4 rebounds per game last season. Her 31 points against Niagara were the most in a single game by any player in the MAAC last season.

- Rider has made the MAAC Semifinals in five of the last six seasons. The Broncs were named MAAC Champions for 2019-20 for the first time in program history.

Raphaela Toussaint (Kingston, Ontario/Lincoln Prep) led the Broncs with five double-doubles last season. She finished the season averaging 10.8 points and a team high 7.4 rebounds. Her 7.4 rebounds per game ranked seventh in the MAAC last season.

Amanda Mobley (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh) enters her graduate season tied with Patricka Smith '98 for fourth in program history with 365 career assists. Next on the list is Stella Johnson '20, who finished with 428.

- The Broncs lead the MAAC and ranked 42
nd nationally with an average of 4.2 blocks per game.
Anna Ekerstedt (Varberg, Sweden/Marks Gymnasieskola) averaged 1.50 blocks per contest last season.

- Nearly two-thirds of
Jessika Schiffer's (Iserlohn, Germany/Deutschhaus Gymnasium Würzburg) shots last season (179-277) came from three-point range. Her six made threes against Quinnipiac are tied for the fifth-most in a game in program history.

ToniRenee Blanford (Montclair, NJ/The Patrick School) scored 14 points on 6-for-6 shooting in the Broncs' exhibition against TCNJ on Wednesday.

- The Broncs lead the all-time series over the Highlanders, 5-1. Rider and NJIT first met in the 2011-12 season, a 60-50 win for the Broncs. Rider has won four straight in the series, including a five-point victory in Alumni Gym last year. Tied 56-56 with three minutes to play, Rider outscored NJIT 8-3 down the stretch as Lenaejha Evans buried a jumper that broke the tie, then with the Broncs leading by three, Mobley stole a Highlander inbounds pass and made both free throws after being fouled to ice the game.

- The Highlanders finished 15-15 last season, with a 9-8 mark in the America East. NJIT is led by Kenna Squier and Lyzi Litwinko. Both players earned Third-Team America East Conference honors last season. Squier led the Highlanders last season at 11.1 points per game and 44 total steals. Litwinko averaged 10.7 points and a team-high 7.1 rebounds a season ago.
