Women’s Cross Country Compete at NCAA Regionals

Rider Women's Cross Country places 19th at Regionals

University Park, PA –  The Rider University Women's Cross Country team finished 19th at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships. The Broncs were led by Graduate Student Teagan Schein-Becker who finished 57th with a time of 21:49.4.

Sophomore Jordan O'Neill finished next for Rider with a time of 22:58.7 good for 114th. O'Neill was followed by Oliva de la Torre Coca (22:59.7/117th), Grace Medei (23:08.7/125th), and Freshman Makala Hansen (24:00.6/163) to round out the Broncs' top five finishers.

"It was a disappointing team finish for the women today. We just ran around and really didn't race. It's unfortunate because I thought that we would be better but I just need to do a better job preparing them for this level of competition. We need to take some of the lessons from this season and work to be better." Head Coach Bob Hamer

- West Virginia's Ceili McCabe won the race with a time of 19:58.3
-Georgetown won the team race with four top-10 finishers.
