2022-23 Rider Wrestling Schedule Unveiled

Broncs to host Penn State, Rutgers

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Home dates with Big Ten and National powers Penn State and Rutgers highlight the Rider University wrestling team's 2022-23 schedule. In addition to the Broncs' Dec. 2 match against Penn State at CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, the Broncs will host Garden State foe Rutgers on Jan. 8 in Alumni Gym.

"We have assembled another challenging schedule that provides our guys the opportunity to wrestle some of the best teams in the country," said Rider Head Coach John Hangey. "This year's dual meet schedule is highlighted by hosting Penn State and also includes teams from the Big 10, Big 12, EIWA and the MAC. We also look forward to continuing our rivalries with Princeton and Rutgers. This schedule is designed to have our team battle tested for the MAC's and ultimately the NCAA Championships."

Following the season-opening Princeton Open on Sunday, Nov. 6, the Broncs travel to the Midwest for a MAC dual at Southern Illinois-Edwardsville on Nov. 11 and a return trip to Purdue on Nov. 13 after the Boilermakers visited Alumni Gym last season. The Keystone Classic on Nov. 20 is up next, before the Broncs close out 2022 with the home-opening Penn State dual on Dec. 2 at CURE Insurance Arena.

The Broncs return to the Southern Scuffle on Jan. 1 and 2, before returning home to host Rutgers on Jan. 8. Three-straight road duals at Bloomsburg (Jan. 13), Princeton (Jan. 21) and Lock Haven (Jan. 26) are up next, before a home dual with Bucknell on Jan. 28.

The Broncs travel to Oklahoma for a Feb. 5 dual, before facing Pennsylvania conference foes Ediboro (Feb. 11) and Clarion (Feb. 12) on the road. The regular-season slate concludes with three-straight home duals on Feb. 17 and 18. The Broncs host George Mason on Friday, Feb. 17, before hosting a tri-match with Cleveland State and Drexel on Feb. 18.

MAC Championships are scheduled for March 3-4 at George Mason, before NCAA's take place in Tulsa, Oklahoma March 16-18.
