Men's Track and Field Sweeps Weekly MAAC Honors

EDISON, NJ – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced its selections for men's track and field athletes of the week Tuesday afternoon and Rider University's Jerome Boyer and Jacob Eddinger swept the honors after their performances over the past seven days.

"I am really excited to have our athletes recognized for their outstanding performances last week," said head coach Bob Hamer. "They are setting a standard for the rest of the team to live up to moving forward."

Boyer was named MAAC Track Performer of the Week after winning the 400-meters at the Wagner Invitational with a time of 48.42 and adding a strong leg on the Broncs' winning 4x400-meter team. The winning 400-meter time is the fastest in the MAAC this season by over a full second and ranks second in program history. The time currently ranks 20th nationally this season and is an IC4A qualifier.

Eddinger won the weight throw at the Wagner Invitational with a mark of 17.58 meters. The toss is an IC4A qualifier and currently ranks second in the MAAC. He was named MAAC Field Performer of the Week.

The Broncs return to action Friday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartan Invite.
